Dana Ibrayeva is a Counsel at Dentons in Astana and co-head of Employment Practice.

She is a lawyer in Dentons’ Astana office with over 20 years’ experience started her career in 2002 as a paralegal of Salans (ex-legacy firm of Dentons). She focuses on labor law (mainland and AIFC employment regime) and advises with respect to appointments and dismissals of personnel (including supporting new owners with their employment issues when they acquire a business). Dana is highly capable in solving complex problems, such as revision of salary structures, devising viable and legally sound work patterns, advising on disciplinary proceedings, reorganizations and mass dismissals, as well as advisory in the threat/event of strikes. She advises on creation of pre-trial primary body for considering labor disputes (conciliation commission) and represents clients in labor disputes with employees before courts and in our-of-court proceedings. Dana also represents clients in disputes with the local labor inspection challenging their decisions in the administrative proceedings.

In addition to her employment practice, Dana advises on matters relating to distributors’ activities (rules of conduct, contracts), regulatory, permitting and consumer protection matters related to various business sectors, including pharmaceutical, retail and hospitality.
