Olzhas specializes in energy and natural resources, environmental and corporate law, and also advises on project finance, capital markets and M&A transactions.

He has over seven years’ experience advising on a broad range of transactional and, in particular, complex regulatory matters in the natural resources sector. His practice is distinguished by a strong experience on regulatory analysis, including advising on the application of legislation, engagement with governmental authorities and compliance with evolving regulatory requirements in the areas of subsoil use and environmental law.

Olzhas has advised on acquisitions of mining assets, as well as projects in the petrochemical and tech sectors.
His recent experience also includes representing clients in disputes involving the challenge of significant environmental fines.
