Anuar Alderbayev is a legal counsel and arbitration practitioner with over 20 years of experience in litigation defence of business interests. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and KAZBar.

He specialises in complex commercial litigation across all levels of the Kazakhstani court system — including the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan — and in international commercial arbitration. Anuar brings deep sector expertise in structuring and managing major international contracts — including EPC/LSTK agreements, Production Sharing Agreements (PSAs), Petrochemical Technology License Agreements, project finance support and the management of default events under loan agreements with development and commercial banks — governed by English and Kazakhstani law, as well as in the litigation defence of commercial companies against claims brought by state authorities.

Losses exceeding USD 1.5 million per day averted
Successful litigation defence of the enterprise's rights in a dispute with an infrastructure contractor over the industrial wastewater system. Legal measures prevented a full plant shutdown and critical operational and financial losses.
3. Litigation defence of commercial interests of two major international airlines against coercive terms of state monopoly
Benefit of USD 2,000,000 annually
Protection of a major foreign aviation sector investor from a state monopoly's attempts to impose economically unjustifiable contractual terms. Annual financial benefit to the client: USD 2,000,000.
4. Litigation defence of oil production company against claims by state regulator
KZT 700,000,000 recovered from state budget
Administrative sanctions by the state regulator were declared unlawful and cancelled by the court. Actual recovery of KZT 700,000,000 from the state budget secured.
5. Release of strategic oil field asset from unlawful pledge
Asset returned to control, economic benefit — USD 21,000,000
Release of an oil field unlawfully held as pledge by a bad-faith creditor. Encumbrance challenged in court; client's full control over the asset restored.
6. Blocking forced buyout of stake in hostile takeover attempt
Participation in company preserved
Defence of a company shareholder during a hostile takeover attempt. A comprehensive legal strategy was developed and implemented, blocking the forced buyout of a 50% stake in the company and preserving the client's full participation.
