Samat Daumov is a Partner and Director of GRATA International office in Astana.
Samat pays significant attention to the management and development of the firm. From 2013 to 2019 he was acting as Managing partner of Kazakhstan offices.

Samat has extensive experience in natural resources, specialising in various issues, including commercial law, corporate law and litigation.
He is the author of several articles and reviews, and a regular lecturer at M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University .
He has been awarded with a lapel badge "Zhomart Zhan" (Generous soul) established by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

• In 2007, Samat graduated from M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University with honors and then received a degree in management from the Kazakh-Russian University;
• In 2011, Samat graduated from M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University with honours and received a Master of Laws degree;

Samat has extensive experience in the field of natural resources, specializing in various issues, including commercial law, corporate law and dispute resolution. He represented the interests of many major international and Kazakhstani companies.

He has work experience, which includes advising leading companies on drafting memoranda related to various legal issues and preparing various contracts, as well as experience in conducting legal audits of individual transactions and legal entities, verifying contracts for compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the interests of clients.

In 2010, he took an active part in the development of Kazakhstan's legislation on subsoil use.
Samat often participates and makes presentations at international conferences and has numerous publications, including lecturing at KazGUU.
