Karina Ilyussizova is a founding partner of IMN. She advises domestic and international clients on a broad range of corporate, M&A and finance transactions, with particular experience in acquisitions, acting for both buyers and sellers, and in project financing, representing both lenders and borrowers.

Karina has advised on numerous high-profile infrastructure and socially significant projects. Her practice is particularly focused on the renewable energy sector, where she has extensive experience supporting the development, financing and operation of solar, wind and hydropower projects across Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region.

Drawing on her experience as an in-house counsel, Karina brings a practical and commercial perspective to legal matters, with a strong understanding of internal decision-making processes and the day-to-day operation of legal departments.

Prior to founding IMN, Karina was a Senior Associate at an Am Law 100 international law firm and previously served as in-house counsel at a private equity fund.
Karina is a registered AIFC Legal Advisor and a member of the Kazakhstan Bar Association.
