Aizhan Shakizada is a legal professional with more than 25 years of international experience in corporate law, regulatory affairs, compliance, sanctions, and corporate security.
She currently serves as Head of Legal & Compliance for the Central Asia & Caucasus Cluster at British American Tobacco.

Throughout her career, she has led legal and regulatory functions in major international companies across the mining, telecommunications, and FMCG sectors, supporting large-scale investment projects, engagement with government authorities, corporate governance, and regulatory development. Her professional experience covers Central Asia, the Caucasus and North Africa.

Aizhan holds an LL.M. in Commercial Law from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the KazBar Independent Lawyers Association.
